Update - Inge

Inge Morris was seen by Dr Welsch this morning.

He is EXCEPTIONALLY pleased with her progress. He admitted that he didn’t think that she would ever walk again.

He says that he has just come back from a convention in London where the discussions were primarily about exactly the condition that granny has experienced … apparently it is on the increase and the general consensus is that it is probably due to the rapid growth of “super bugs” worldwide as a result of the abuse of antibiotics.

AND THE BEST NEWS OF ALL ….. wait for it …..

She is allowed to take the brace off. X-ray in one week, which he will have a look at and then take it from there!

Granny has been all smiles as a result, ….. and remarkably lucid today

Starting to walk again

Good news, got a walker for Mum on Monday 12^th, and on that day she walked unassisted with the walker all the way from the car to her room.  Has been practicing walking every day which is exhausting her like trying to run a marathon would the rest of us, but we are keeping spirits up and moving forward determinedly towards independent living again.
